Rebuilt Beach Bungalow with Courtyard Garden

A 1940s Venice beach bungalow rebuilt from the studs by a local architect who kept the original footprint and scale while entirely reworking the interior. A board-formed concrete courtyard wall shields the front garden from the street, opening onto a covered porch and the original-profile front door. Inside, white oak floors and minimal detailing let the home's proportions do the work, with the kitchen and living space opening fully onto a rear courtyard garden framed by the same board-formed concrete.
